In the heart of Roysambu, a silent crisis has been unfolding—a public broken bridge next to the deadly railway bridge and crumbling roads that have become more than just inconveniences; they’ve become deadly. Like Nehemiah who saw the broken walls of Jerusalem and was compelled to rebuild, J Munene team saw these dangers during our recent two-day tour of Roysambu mashinani and could no longer turn a blind eye.
The latest tragedy—three lives lost, including a pregnant mother—was the final straw. The very infrastructure meant to connect our community had become a death trap, and inaction was no longer an option. The elected Roysambu leadership may have chosen to remain silent, but we knew our people deserved better. Roysambu deserves better.
We didn’t stop there. Failure to act by the Roysambu elected leadership wasn’t an option. The situation could not wait further, so we took charge. J Munene & Team with the support of the Roysambu Bodaboda Highway Bridge, Roysambu Business and Community and well-wishers, we rolled up our sleeves and began the work ourselves—Kazi Kwanza! It’s time to rebuild Roysambu, one brick, one bridge, and one road at a time-The Community strength,#TogetherWeCanDoMore
Today, as the dust rises from the construction work, we stand with a renewed sense of purpose. The people of Roysambu came together, proving that when leadership fails, the community will rise. We will no longer be a laughing stock! Roysambu will be the pride of Nairobi and Kenya at large; a testament to the strength and unity of its people. The work has begun, and we’re not turning back.
Thank you to the Roysambu Bodaboda Highway Bridge, Roysambu Business and Community for your unwavering support. Together, we are rebuilding a Roysambu that prioritizes safety, prosperity, and dignity for all.
